On October 16, 2024, the 29th Macao International Trade and Investment Fair (MIF) commenced at the Cotai Expo in The Venetian Macao. As a premier international trade and investment event in the region, this year’s MIF, was themed “Showcasing Diversity, Leading Industrial Opportunities,” and featured participation from over 1,300 international exhibitors. The four-day event served as a platform for global business exchange and a showcase of emerging industrial trends and innovative technologies.
The opening ceremony was attended by prominent figures, including Mr. Ho Iat Seng, Chief Executive of the Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR); Mr. Zheng Xincang, Director of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in Macao SAR; and over 2,000 industry professionals and visitors from Mainland China, Portuguese-speaking countries, Malaysia, Singapore, and the Hong Kong-Macao region.
The event served as a platform for fostering meaningful economic cooperation and facilitating knowledge exchange among key stakeholders.
The Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin established the Hengqin Pavilion, spanning nearly 900 square meters.
This pavilion featured over 60 prominent enterprises across six advanced sectors: biomedicine, integrated circuits, new energy, artificial intelligence, cultural tourism, and modern finance. The largescale exhibition highlighted the rapid advancements within the four new industries in the Cooperation Zone over the past three years.
